My Journey

Hi. I am Cath. In 2010 I took the first big step towards making changes to my career - I realised that if I wanted to change what I am I would have to change what I do. I wanted to learn new ways of being, sensing & working that would inspire me to live more fully. As I have always had a keen interest in healing, health and complementary therapies, especially bodywork, I decided to follow a life-time passion of becoming a massage therapist – a goal I have now achieved having qualified to practice professionally….. and I love it as much as I thought I would.

My massage inspiration

A Tibetan woman I met in Nepal.

What I am

What I bring to the table is what I am – woman, partner, daughter, sister, aunt, god-mother, friend, mentor, motivator, supporter, listener and fan who is still youthful, energetic, enthusiastic, open-minded, genuine about helping others and above all, who is totally captivated by massage.

What I am into

Bodywork, people, my cats, elephants, the Himalayas, adventuring, exercising, photography, art, food, the joy of travel, mountains, the sea, deserts, the African bush, languages, shapes, contemplation, living, being and I continue trying to deepen my meditation and yoga practice. After 8 years in England and Scotland I have come to love rain and clouds too!

My previous experience

My career provided me with a solid background and training in administration, sales/marketing/public relations, interpersonal communication, motivation and management. Demanding roles within large corporates, SMEs and my own business led to an involvement with a wide range of business functions and activities that required quick-thinking and taught me how to apply resourceful common sense to anything that came my way. I feel this diversity has given me great insight into business and people in general.

What I can offer you

  • completely customized sessions tailored to your wants and needs

  • a safe non-judgemental and serene space

  • a natural sensitivity to the needs of others

  • deeply held professional values

My Training

I undertook my professional qualification in massage at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodyworks (BCMB) where I was gifted with great teachers and colleagues as well as one of the most intensive and thorough massage courses available in the UK.

I am fully prepared to invest both time and money in my own development, discovering more of myself, of others, and of the world around me - physically, emotionally and spiritually - and view this as an essential component of my work.

To better my understanding of massage and further develop my own effective style I regularly have treatments myself.

I continue my professional development with post-graduate training and further study to enrich my massage and to improve my knowledge and your health and well-being.

My professional memberships

I am a registered practitioner and full member of the Massage Training Institute (MTI) and registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) where I am bound to a professional code of ethics and practice.

I hold a current Emergency First Aid certificate issued by Holos Healthcare & Training Limited
